Town & Country Cafe

Town & Country feeds us at least once a week. This cafe is solid with great breakfast options and I’ve heard the lunch is good but I’m a breakfast anytime person. My favorites are the cinnamon French toast, pancakes, town & country breakfast special (eggs, hash browns - theirs are - meat, and toast), and any baked good they have that day whether it’s the cinnamon roll, cupcake, or muffins. The place can get packed but they are pretty efficient so there’s usually not a wait for a table. The owners are friendly and the staff is great.

Just an old school Main Street cafe. Awesome breakfast. Can’t go wrong.

We went to the Town and Country Cafe for breakfast this morning for the first time. Let's start with our waitress. I am always really impressed when I see a high school aged employee who genuinely cares about his/her job, and isn't just going through the motions because her parents have forced them to get a job. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Everyone at our table was very satisfied with their food, as everything was prepared to perfection. The biscuits and gravy were to die for. Prices very reasonable as well. I personally know Kyr, the owner, and it's obvious that he puts a lot of work into insuring that his customers leave with a smile on their face. GREAT experience, I highly recommend, and we will be back!

My son and I were staying in Ankeny for a wrestling tournament. When we are out of town, we try to look for the local ma & pa breakfast spot. This was definitely worth the 30 min drive. Great food, great service and that small town atmosphere. Both waitresses had a smile on their face, greeting the locals and even us out of town people, as we walked in. We’d definitely recommend to anyone and would stop back if ever in the area again.

I cannot say enough about this place. Some of the best coffee, food, coffee and company. I added photos from lunch special the other day.

Good food and great service. Pretty much everything that you'd expect from a small town diner, including plenty of locals to give it the friendly "hometown" atmosphere.

Very traditional cafe, won’t go wrong also won’t get surprise. Salads option is very limited.
